Salzburg to Grado is a tale of two halves. Starting in Austria, cycle through wild alpine valleys and stunning mountainous terrain, passing powerful rivers and ancient mountain towns. You then enter Italy, visit remarkable historic villages, pass canals and river banks, and end on the sandy island peninsula of Grado. Throughout your trip, you'll stay in stylish 4* hotels with excellent on-site restaurants and facilities.

The enchanting city of Salzburg looks like something from a fairytale. Sat on the River Salzach, it’s overlooked by Castle Hohensalzburg, framed by a green mountainous backdrop. Salzburg is known for being Mozart’s birthplace, with a rich culture and impressive architecture from centuries gone by. You may wish to arrive in the city a day early if you want more time to explore. In contrast, the historic fishing town of Grado is the perfect setting to end your holiday. It has a completely different but equally charming character to your journey's start, with an inviting Mediterranean climate, a pretty harbour and a long expanse of sandy beach - where better to relax with a glass of something nice to toast your holiday?

The Alpe Adria Cycle Path is a dedicated bike route that connects Austria and Italy, allowing you to visit some incredible places, including the roaring Gastein Waterfall, the charming medieval town of Spittal and the serene village of Tarvisio. You'll also roll through the unspoilt forests of Val Canale - truly beautiful. Routes are a mixture of flat and inclined.

This is the deluxe variation of the Salzburg to Grado Bike Tour, staying in 4* hotels only.
