Set off on an incredible journey across two countries on the Salzburg to Grado Extended Bike Tour. Starting in Austria, you'll join the Alpe Adria Cycle Path that cuts and weaves through the region's green alpine valleys before leaving the dramatic mountains behind as you move deeper into Italy. The Adriatic Sea and a warm sea breeze will greet you as you reach the little island peninsula of Grado. You'll encounter many fascinating and historic villages - several that seem almost frozen in time!

Salzburg - the birthplace of Mozart - is a thriving cultural hub of arts and music. The city is framed by a backdrop of mountains with snowy peaks, like something from a painting. Other Austrian highlights include the Celtic town of Hallein, the roaring Golling and Gastein waterfalls, the remarkable mountain resort of Bad Gastein, and the charming town of Spittal.

The Italian leg of your journey takes you to Tarvisio, a historic mountain town beside a turquoise lake, as well as the Gemona region, with beautiful old stone-built town centres. The charming and historic village of Grado oozes Italian charisma, with a bustling harbour, lovely restaurants and plenty else to explore on foot.

This is the extended version of the 7-night Salzburg to Grado Bike Tour and includes a night in Golling and a night in Spittal.
