2019 Photo Competition Winner
This year we had a truly fantastic response to our photo competition, with over 500 photos entered by our customers! We’ve spent the last few weeks going through all the entries and it’s been a real pleasure to see so many of our wonderful customers enjoying their holidays in Europe and Asia.
As with the last two years that we have run this competition, there has been a very high standard of entries. Choosing the winner was a very tough job, however, we’re thrilled to announce the winning entry below, alongside a selection of entries that the judges recognised as highly commendable.
You can see every single entry from this year's competition in our Facebook album.
Winner
Selma Selbaek - Bolzano to Verona

Freedom Treks verdict: For us, this photo really captures the happiness of a Freedom Treks cycling holiday and makes us all want to jump straight on a bike and pedal! It has so much of what we and our customers love about cycling holidays; gorgeous scenery, wonderful rides and smiling faces. Selma and Jostein took this photo whilst cycling towards Trento on our four-night Bolzano to Verona tour in Italy. Selma has won £500 off her next Freedom Treks holiday.
Highly Commended
Victoria Hamilton - Brenner Pass to Verona

Freedom Treks verdict: Victoria's photo perfectly sums up the wonderful backdrops that often can only be seen by bike! Seeing the Brenner Pass, which forms the border between Austria and Italy, is a highlight of this tour and we like the way that Victoia framed the beautiful Alpine scenery with their bikes in the foreground.
Dave Hall - Puglia

Freedom Treks verdict: We love the angle and the contrast of colours in Dave's photo from Puglia. It captures the fantastic feeling of cycling with sunshine on your back as you ride Puglia's coastal landscapes, with the sea never too far away.
