I cycled from the UK to the Mediterranean 30 years ago and loved it. Since then I have cycled extensively across Europe both on holiday with friends and as part of my job to enjoy as many cycle tours as possible.

Fantastic cycling around Croatia's islands on the South Dalmatia Boat & Bike tour and relaxing and socialising with people of different nationalities in the evenings on the boat. The great thing about our boat & bike holidays is that you have the option of taking the day or afternoon off from cycling to relax. 

Danube River - Passau to Budapest Boat & Bike Tour I loved the balnce between the cycling and the chance to see amazing historic cities along the Danube.

Berlin to the Baltic Sea Boat & Bike Tour : I like the idea of cycling in parts of Germany and Poland that I have not been to before, it also has a good balance of cutural visits and nature. 

Taking a boat through the Straits of Magellan past the amazing glaciers to the tip of South America. 

Living with a indigenous tribe in the Amazon rainforest. It certainly makes you look at life a little differently.  

Always plan your next day’s cycling by reading the tour notes the night before so you know what time to set out and where you want to visit along the way.

I have kayaked with humpback whales in Antarctica.
