Experience the alluring spice trails of Sri Lanka on this eleven-night tour which takes you from the spectacular fifth century Sigiriya fortress through the beautiful scenery of the hill country, with its famous tea plantations. Along the way, see wild elephants in the Udawalawe National Park and relax on a beach, taking in incredible views of the Indian Ocean. Most of the terrain on this tour is undulating, with a few longer days on quiet back roads and gravel paths.
Starting from Negombo you will cycle towards the iconic Lion Rock with awe-inspiring views from the top, before heading south towards Kandy where you can see Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist relic. In the cooler hill country, you cycle past tea plantations before heading to see the wildlife of Udawalawe National Park. The tour finishes in the town of Mirissa on the South Coast, where you will cycle to the historic Galle Fort before heading back to Colombo.
